Gym programs, fitness sessions, speed/power programs, injury management advice, rehab plans, and support year round - from off season to finals.

Step 1
An intake call to get your playing history (team, level, position), injury history, and specific goals

Step 2
Join the group online to access programs, support, and start training

Step 3
Check in weekly to get advice, adjust your program, and monitor your progress

Here's what I usually get asked
First, fill out the application form so I can find out some more about you and your playing history, injury history, and goals for this season. We'll discuss this further in the second step.
Second, I'll give you a call to make sure I've got all the right details and that we're a good fit to work together. By the end of the call I'll get you set up in the group so that you have access to the programs, supplementary resources, a consistent communication channel, and get notified with
Third, we'll check in weekly where you can get training and recovery advice, troubleshoot injury/niggle concerns, and we can monitor your progression and keep focus on the key things that will help you achieve success this season.
The initial program duration is 12 weeks. For us to be able to get any baseline measurements, track progress, adjust programs, and find the right things that make a difference for you, you'll need to allow at least 12 weeks (around 3 training blocks) to get anywhere productive.
After that, it's ongoing throughout the season and into the next pre-season if you'd like to stay involved.
Whether you're starting in pre-season to improve your fitness, in-season to make sure you don't drop off mid year, or you're in for rehab guidance to manage injuries (short or long term) you can stay for as long as it makes sense for you to be involved.
The programs and support are provided through the Footy Performance Lab on Skool, which you will be added to during your intake call. Key resources will be pinned to the top of the group. Any additional resources, programs, and other information are all in the classroom section, if you want to dig deeper into the archives or access additional resources.
There's no flicking between multiple apps, no extra software, nothing more complicated than signing on to social media. It's all in the one spot.
Programs are provided as a PDF with a video introduction explaining the sessions.
We will track your progress through field tests (eg: time trial) and gym performance (EG: weight on the bar, jump tests) and these can be tracked at regular intervals to ensure you're getting the results you're looking for.
There is a degree of individualisation throughout the process, while the group follows the same base program.
Think of it this way: when you're at training everyone does the same warmup, maybe some early skill drills, then the mids/forwards/backs will go off into separate groups to work on their individual craft. This program is the same.
I would have to keep the group extremely small, charge way too much, and spend my whole day on the phone/online to be able to facilitate 100% individualised programs.
So the structure is standardised, but the key blocks you need to fit into your week (speed, conditioning, recovery, strength work, muscle size, etc) are outlined for you, and you do the stuff that is right for you.
Yep, you sure can!
You can be confident you're working with someone who has a background in football, and sports rehabilitation specifically, as well as general Physiotherapy services, including telehealth and working by distance (thanks COVID.).
So if you're injured currently we'll cover that in your intake call, and I'll be clear with you about which parts of the program are or aren't suitable, which adjustments you can make, and how we can get you back on the track.
Absolutely, there are two main ways I can help
1) Lay out the plan for getting an assessment and working in with your local Physiotherapist/Osteopath/Healthcare provider of choice, so that you can get the right information and have a clear, actionable plan to get back to your best. Then once you know what you're dealing with we can get right back to work.
2) Being a Physiotherapist myself we can do a telehealth consultation (costed separate to the program and charged at standard rates, with private health available if you have the correct cover and your fund allows online claiming). Then we simply work that plan in with the rest of the program.
In any case, even if one part of your body is battling, there are ways that you can improve your performance either in other areas, or despite your injury. So no matter your current status, you'll be able to get something out of the program.
Unfortunately not.
This service is not coverable via Medicare or private health. The style of program does not fit into the criteria for any billing codes that make it coverable.
However, for those close enough (Melbourne's South East) who want to do 1:1 or Group Consultations in person (costed separate to the program and charged at standard rates), or need a 1:1 consultation such as telehealth for an injury assessment (costed separate to the program and charged at standard rates, with private health available if you have the correct cover and your fund allows online claiming), there may be a capacity for benefits to be accessed. This is subject to individual circumstances and the particular consultation details.
